Abstract
The Coonamessett Farm Foundation, Inc. (CFF) was funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Saltonstall-Kennedy grant program to carry out winter dredge surveys in Southern New England waters, which happen to overlap with Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) lease areas. The study generated maps of the habitat types and distribution of winter flounder, windowpane flounder, yellowtail flounder, and monkfish catch by month; analyzed fish-substrate associations using generalized linear models; and compared the CFF surveys results with other available data sources for consistency. The results of this study provide information that BOEM needs to better understand fish winter presence in the lease areas.
