Senate Hearing, 96th Congress - Ocean thermal energy conversion act of 1980: hearings before the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, United States Senate, Ninety-sixth Congress, second session, on S. 2492, to regulate commerce, promote energy self-sufficiency, and protect the environment, by establishing procedures for the location, construction, and operation of thermal energy conversion facilities and plantships to produce electricity and energy-intensive products off the coasts of the United States; to amend the Merchant Marine Act, 1937, to make available certain financial assistance for construction and operation of such facilities and plantships; and for other purposes.
