Following a card of general tips on becoming involved, tips are offered in the following topic areas: keeping a child alcohol, tobacco, and drug free; homework; parents' rights; parent teacher conferences; readiness to read and reading; violence in school; special education; television; testing; and computers. For each topic, suggestions for obtaining additional information and assistance are included.
