Mr. Walkinshaw (for himself, Mr. Thompson of Mississippi, Ms. Norton, Mr. Goldman of New York, Mr. Correa, Mr. Krishnamoorthi, Mr. Carter of Louisiana, Mr. Kennedy of New York, Mrs. McIver, Mr. Subramanyam, Mr. Thanedar, Mr. Green of Texas, Ms. Mejia, and Mr. Hernández) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Homeland Security, and in addition to the Committee on the Judiciary, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned
To require the Secretary of Homeland Security to notify Congress of any serious injury or death of any individual in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security, and for other purposes.
