Three agencies--the Commerce Department, the U.S. Export-Import Bank, and the Small Business Administration--have established a domestic network of 19 "one-stop shops," called U.S. Export Assistance Centers. The agencies participating in this network were to coordinate among themselves, as well as with nonfederal organizations, such as state agencies and world trade centers. Their goal was to deliver a full range of nonagricultural export education, promotion, and finance services to small- and medium-sized exporters. The report examines the network's activities.
