To identify aviation safety risk precursors, the system depends on information from many databases, including those compromising FAA's Aviation Safety Analysis System. As previously reported by GAO, FAA, and others, these Aviation Safety Analysis System databases contain incomplete, inconsistent, and inaccurate data.
