The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 787-8 and 787-9 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a report that a passenger entry door assist handle became detached during use. This proposed AD would require a detailed inspection of all passenger and service entry door assist handles for correct installation and applicable on-condition actions. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
