The EPA is taking direct final action on amendments to the national emissions standards for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) for reinforced plastic composites production which were issued April 12, 2003, under section 112 of the Clean Air Act (CAA). The direct final rule is effective on October 24, 2005 without further notice, unless EPA receives adverse written comment by September 26, 2005 or if a public hearing is requested by September 6, 2005. If adverse comments are received, EPA will publish a timely withdrawal in the Federal Register indicating which provisions will become effective and which provisions are being withdrawn due to adverse comment.
