This AD is the result of continued reports of fuel regulator shutoff valve problems and the manufacturer revising the service information to modify the pressure test procedures and to specify installing improved design replacement parts. This AD retains the actions required in AD 2001-17-13, makes the inspection repetitive, and requires installing improved design replacement parts. We are issuing this AD to prevent failure of the fuel regulator shutoff valve, which could result in fuel leakage in aircraft with these combustion heaters.
