EPA is proposing to find that the State implementation plan (SIP) for the Metropolitan Phoenix (Maricopa County), Arizona PM-10 nonattainment area is substantially inadequate to attain the 24-hour particulate (PM-10) national ambient air quality standard (NAAQS) at the Salt River monitoring site, a small subarea of the nonattainment area. As a result, EPA is proposing to require the State of Arizona to submit a SIP revision to correct the inadequacy.
