Notice of policy guidance.
The Corporation for National and Community Service (Corporation) is publishing policy guidance on Title VI's prohibition against national origin discrimination as it affects limited English proficient persons. This policy clarifies the existing responsibilities of Corporation grantees to take reasonable steps to provide access to their programs and activities for persons with limited English proficiency. This document provides an opportunity for public comment. The Corporation will review all comments and will determine what modifications to the policy guidance, if any, are necessary.
This guidance is effective immediately. Comments must be submitted on or before March 19, 2001.
