The Department is initiating this rulemaking to determine whether it should continue or modify its existing rules governing airline computer reservations systems (CRSs). Unless extended by the Department, the existing rules (14 CFR part 255) will expire on December 31, 1997. It is the Department's preliminary position that the rules should be continued, probably with revisions.
