In settlement of alleged violations of federal law prohibiting unfair or deceptive acts or practices and unfair methods of competition, this consent order prohibits, among other things, a New York-based individual doing business as Simplex Services from misrepresenting, in advertisements--via a computer communications network, or by any other means--for a credit repair product, any right or remedy available under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including the ability to remove adverse information in any credit report, and the legality of any credit repair product.

Consent order.
