Pursuant to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Department of Army (DA) prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) to evaluate alternatives for future family housing development for Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Approximately 16 units are proposed for construction in fiscal year 1994. Additional units may be constructed as required, with the total constructed over a 20-year period not to exceed 374 units. The facilities are needed to replace existing substandard family housing on-post and an inadequate supply of rental units in the surrounding communities. The DEIS evaluates three alternatives:

Notice of Availability.
