Nomination for Ambassador to India

May 11, 1994

    The President today announced his intention to nominate Frank G. 
Wisner of the District of Columbia as Ambassador to India.
    ``I am pleased to announce Frank to this most important post,'' the 
President said. ``He brings an experienced background and skilled 
diplomacy to this important assignment.''
