Nomination for United States District Court Judges
March 9, 1994

    The President today nominated six individuals to serve on the U.S. 
District Court. They are: Richard A. Paez for the Central District of 
California; Clarence Cooper for the Northern District of Georgia; Denise 
Page Hood for the Eastern District of Michigan; Solomon Oliver, Jr. for 
the Northern District of Ohio; Terry C. Kern for the Northern District 
of Oklahoma; and B. Michael Burrage for the Northern, Eastern, and 
Western Districts of Oklahoma.
    ``These six individuals have impressive records of achievement in 
both the law and public service,'' the President said today. ``I am 
confident that they will serve with excellence and distinction as 
members of the Federal judiciary.''
