Nomination for the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development
April 19, 1994

    The President today announced his intention to nominate Jan Piercy 
as the U.S. Executive Director at the World Bank and Michael Marek as 
the Alternate U.S. Executive Director at the World Bank.
    ``I am pleased to nominate Jan Piercy and Michael Marek to the World 
Bank. I am confident their skilled leadership and first-hand experience 
with the global marketplace will be a tremendous asset in their new 
roles,'' the President said.
