Nomination for the Federal Communications Commission
March 2, 1994

    The President today announced his intention to nominate Rachelle B. 
            Chong as a member of the Federal Communications Commission.

    ``I am confident that Rachelle Chong's experience and commitment in 
the area of telecommunications will prove invaluable to this most 
important committee,'' the President said. ``I am happy to nominate her 
to the position.''
