Message to the Congress on the Elections in South Africa
June 8, 1994

To the Congress of the United States:
    Pursuant to sections 4(a)(2) and 5(b)(1) of the South African 
Democratic Transition Support Act of 1993 (Public Law 103-149; 22 U.S.C. 
5001 note), I hereby certify that an interim government, elected on a 
nonracial basis through free and fair elections, has taken office in 
South Africa.
