Nomination for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission
November 8, 1993

    The President today announced his intention to nominate John E. 
Tull, Jr., as a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
    ``As a farmer who has dedicated years of service to State commodity 
boards, John Tull has the experience to serve as an informed and 
effective member of the CFTC,'' the President said. ``I am pleased to 
name him to this important board.''
