Appointment for Executive Director of the White House Conference on 
Aging
October 22, 1993

    The President announced that he has appointed Robert B. Blancato as 
Executive Director of the White House Conference on Aging (WHCOA). The 
WHCOA, located at the Department of Health and Human Services, serves as 
a focal point for the development of national policy on aging issues.
    ``Robert Blancato is a leading expert in aging policy who has been 
recognized for his work on numerous occasions,'' said the President. ``I 
look forward to his work at the White House Conference on Aging.''
