Nomination for a United States Tax Court Judge
September 9, 1993

    The President announced today that he has nominated Judge Herbert L. 
Chabot to continue as a judge on the United States Tax Court. Chabot has 
served on that court since 1978.
    ``Judge Chabot's service on the Tax Court for the past 15 years has 
been commendable,'' said the President. ``I am pleased that he has 
accepted my nomination to remain on the bench.''
