Letter to Congressional Leaders Transmitting the National Nutrition 
Monitoring and Research Plan

Dear Mr. Speaker:  (Dear Mr. President:)
    As required by the provisions of section 103 of the National 
Nutrition Monitoring and Related Research Act of 1990 (Public Law 101-
445; 7 U.S.C. 5313(d)(2)), I hereby submit to the Congress the Ten-Year 
Comprehensive Plan for the National Nutrition Monitoring and Related 
Research Program.
    This report was developed under the joint auspices of the 
Departments of Agriculture and Health and Human Services. It identifies 
activities to be conducted by the Federal Government over the next 
decade to strengthen the National Nutrition Monitoring and Related 
Research Program.
