Mr. Chapman is director and chairman of the executive committee of Knight-Ridder, Inc., [[Page 1458]] a newspaper chain that includes the Miami Herald and other Florida newspapers. As a resident of Florida for almost 40 years, he has been a leader in many community service endeavors. Mr. Chapman will help address the needs of the people in south Florida and marshal private sector resources in the local community.
