<section id="d118e84" identifier="/us/pvtl/119/2/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Nicholas Dockery Medal of Honor Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d118e94" identifier="/us/pvtl/119/2/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>AUTHORIZATION FOR AWARD OF MEDAL OF HONOR TO NICHOLAS DOCKERY FOR ACTS OF VALOR AS A MEMBER OF THE ARMY WHILE SERVING IN AFGHANISTAN.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y80fe6cfc-3da2-11f1-be08-d5aa197cc5de" identifier="/us/pvtl/119/2/s2/a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x80fe6cfd-3da2-11f1-be08-d5aa197cc5de" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Kareem N. Dockery.</p></sidenote><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Authorization</inline>.—</heading><content>Notwithstanding the time limitations specified in <ref href="/us/usc/t10/s7274">section 7274 of title 10, United States Code</ref>, or any other time limitation with respect to the awarding of certain medals to persons who served in the Armed Forces, the President is authorized to award the Medal of Honor, under section 7271 of such title, to Nicholas Dockery, formerly known as Kareem N. Dockery for the acts of valor described in subsection (b).</content></subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y80fe940e-3da2-11f1-be08-d5aa197cc5de" identifier="/us/pvtl/119/2/s2/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Acts of Valor Described</inline>.—</heading><content>The acts of valor described in section 2 of this Act are the actions of Nicholas Dockery, as a member of the Army, on October 2, 2012, while serving in Afghanistan, for which he was previously awarded the Silver Star.<?GPOvSpace 08?></content></subsection>
