<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><i>  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</i></enactingFormula><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x67cba1a1-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Focused Assistance and Skills Training for Veterans’ Employment and Transition Success Act.</p></sidenote>
<section id="d131e88" identifier="/us/pl/119/72/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x67cc8c02-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t38/s101">38 USC 101 note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Focused Assistance and Skills Training for Veterans’ Employment and Transition Success Act</shortTitle>” or the “<shortTitle role="act">FAST VETS Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d131e106" identifier="/us/pl/119/72/s2" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SECRETARY OF VETERANS AFFAIRS SHALL REDEVELOP INDIVIDUALIZED VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION PLAN.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x67ceaee3-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  <ref href="/us/usc/t38/s3107">Section 3107 of title 38, United States Code</ref>, <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction> in subsection (b)—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y67ceaee4-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" identifier="/us/pl/119/72/s2/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>The Secretary shall review</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>(1) The Secretary shall review</quotedText>”;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y67ced5f5-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" identifier="/us/pl/119/72/s2/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> the second sentence; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y67ced5f6-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" identifier="/us/pl/119/72/s2/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> at the end the following new paragraph:<quotedContent><paragraph class="indentDown1 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y67cf4b27-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">“(2) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x67cf4b28-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Determinations.</p></sidenote><chapeau>On the basis of such review, the Secretary shall—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y67cf4b29-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">“(A) </num><chapeau>redevelop such plan with such veteran if the Secretary determines the achievement of the long-range rehabilitation goals for such veteran is—</chapeau><clause class="fontsize10" id="y67cf4b2a-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="i">“(i) </num><content>no longer feasible due to changes in the employment handicap of the veteran; and</content></clause>
<clause class="fontsize10" id="y67cf4b2b-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="ii">“(ii) </num><content>likelier under a different plan formulated under subsection (a); or<page identifier="/us/stat/139/2002">139 STAT. 2002</page></content></clause>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y67cf4b2c-f891-11f0-b40e-895b28613a7e" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">“(B) </num><content>disapprove redevelopment of such plan if the Secretary determines such redevelopment is not appropriate.”</content></subparagraph>
