<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><i>  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</i></enactingFormula><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x6cd8b06c-fa16-11f0-85eb-bfa20168462a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Disabled Veterans Housing Support Act.</p></sidenote>
<section id="d127e88" identifier="/us/pl/119/70/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x6cd99acd-fa16-11f0-85eb-bfa20168462a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t42/s5301">42 USC 5301 note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Disabled Veterans Housing Support Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d127e103" identifier="/us/pl/119/70/s2" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>SERVICE CONNECTED DISABILITY COMPENSATION.</heading><content class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x6cdafa5e-fa16-11f0-85eb-bfa20168462a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  Section 102(a)(20) of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s5302/a/20">42 U.S.C. 5302(a)(20)</ref>) <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction> by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> at the end the following:<quotedContent><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y6cdb969f-fa16-11f0-85eb-bfa20168462a" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">“(C) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Service-connected disability compensation</inline>.—</heading><content>When determining whether a person is a person of low and moderate income, a person of low income, or a person of moderate income under this paragraph, a State, unit of general local government, or Indian tribe shall exclude any service-connected disability compensation received by such person from the Department of Veterans Affairs.”</content></subparagraph>

<section id="d127e131" identifier="/us/pl/119/70/s3" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading>REPORT.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x6cdc8100-fa16-11f0-85eb-bfa20168462a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  The Comptroller General of the United States shall, not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, submit to the Congress a report that—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y6cdc8101-fa16-11f0-85eb-bfa20168462a" identifier="/us/pl/119/70/s3/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>examines how service-connected disability compensation is treated for the purposes of determining eligibility for all programs administered by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y6cdc8102-fa16-11f0-85eb-bfa20168462a" identifier="/us/pl/119/70/s3/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>identifies any instances where service-connected disability compensation is treated in a manner inconsistent with the amendment made by section 2; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y6cdc8103-fa16-11f0-85eb-bfa20168462a" identifier="/us/pl/119/70/s3/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>with respect to each program administered by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in which service-connected disability compensation is treated inconsistently, provides legislative recommendations relating to how such program <page identifier="/us/stat/140/4">140 STAT. 4</page>
could better serve veteran populations, and under-served communities.</content></paragraph>
