<section id="d547e88" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01ce58eb-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t16/s6871">16 USC 6871 note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Modernizing Access to our Public Waters Act of 2025</shortTitle>” or the “<shortTitle role="act">MAPWaters Act of 2025</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d547e106" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01ce7ffc-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t16/s6871">16 USC 6871</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>DEFINITIONS.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x01cf1c3d-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  In this Act:</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf434e-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/1" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Federal fishing restriction</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>Federal fishing restriction</term>” means a defined area in which all or certain fishing activities are temporarily or permanently prohibited or restricted by a Federal land or water management agency.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf434f-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/2" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Federal land or water management agency</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The term “<term>Federal land or water management agency</term>” means—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf4350-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/2/A" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>the Bureau of Reclamation;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf4351-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/2/B" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>the National Park Service;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf4352-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/2/C" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">(C) </num><content>the Bureau of Land Management;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf4353-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/2/D" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="D">(D) </num><content>the United States Fish and Wildlife Service; and</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf4354-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/2/E" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="E">(E) </num><content>the Forest Service.</content></subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf4355-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/3" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Federal waterway</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>Federal waterway</term>” means waters managed by 1 or more of the relevant Secretaries.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf4356-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/4" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="4">(4) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Federal waterway restriction</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>Federal waterway restriction</term>” means a restriction on the access or use of a Federal waterway applied under applicable law by 1 or more of the Secretaries.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf4357-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/5" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="5">(5) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Secretaries</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The term “<term>Secretaries</term>” means—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf4358-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/5/A" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the Chief of the Forest Service; and</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf4359-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/5/B" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>the Secretary of the Interior.</content></subparagraph>

<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01cf435a-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s2/6" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="6">(6) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">State</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>State</term>” means each of the several States, the District of Columbia, and each territory of the United States.</content></paragraph>

<section id="d547e209" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s3" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01cf435b-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Deadline.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01cf6a6c-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t16/s6872">16 USC 6872</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>INTERAGENCY DATA STANDARDIZATION.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  Not later than 30 months after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretaries, in coordination with the Federal Geographic Data Committee established by section 753(a) of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 (<ref href="/us/usc/t43/s2802/a">43 U.S.C. 2802(a)</ref>), shall jointly develop and adopt interagency standards to ensure compatibility and interoperability among applicable Federal databases with respect to the <page identifier="/us/stat/139/1980">139 STAT. 1980</page>
collection and dissemination of geospatial data relating to public outdoor recreational access of Federal waterways and Federal fishing restrictions.</content></section>
<section id="d547e230" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="4">SEC. 4. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01cf6a6d-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t16/s6873">16 USC 6873</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>DATA CONSOLIDATION AND PUBLICATION.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y01d1181e-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d1181f-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Deadline.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d11820-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Public information.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d11821-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Web posting.</p></sidenote><inline class="smallCaps">Federal Waterway Restrictions</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>Not later than 5 years after the date of enactment of this Act, each of the Secretaries, to the maximum extent practicable, shall digitize and make publicly available online, as applicable, geographic information system data that includes, with respect to Federal waterway restrictions—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d11822-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>status information with respect to the conditions under which Federal waterways are open or closed to entry or watercraft, including watercraft inspection, decontamination requirements, low-elevation aircraft, or diving;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d11823-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>the dates on which Federal waterways are seasonally closed to entry or watercraft;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d11824-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>the areas of Federal waterways with restrictions on motorized propulsion, horsepower, or fuel type;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d11825-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/4" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="4">(4) </num><content>the areas of Federal waterways with anchoring restrictions, no wake zones, exclusion zones, danger areas, or vessel speed restrictions;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d11826-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/5" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="5">(5) </num><content>Federal waterway restrictions on the direction of travel, including upstream or downstream travel; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d11827-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="6">(6) </num><chapeau>the uses, including by watercraft, that are restricted on each area of a Federal waterway, including the permissibility of—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d11828-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6/A" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>canoes and other paddlecraft;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f39-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6/B" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>rafts and driftboats;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f3a-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6/C" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">(C) </num><content>motorboats;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f3b-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6/D" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="D">(D) </num><content>personal watercraft;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f3c-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6/E" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="E">(E) </num><content>airboats;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f3d-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6/F" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="F">(F) </num><content>amphibious aircraft;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f3e-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6/G" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="G">(G) </num><content>hovercraft;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f3f-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6/H" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="H">(H) </num><content>oversnow vehicles and other motorized vehicles on frozen bodies of water;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f40-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6/I" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="I">(I) </num><content>oceangoing ships;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f41-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6/J" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="J">(J) </num><content>swimming; and</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f42-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/a/6/K" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="K">(K) </num><content>other applicable recreational activities, as determined to be appropriate by the Secretaries.</content></subparagraph>

<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y01d13f43-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Federal Waterway Access and Navigation Information</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>Not <sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d13f44-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Deadline.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d13f45-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Public information.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d13f46-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Web posting.</p></sidenote>later than 5 years after the date of enactment of this Act, each of the Secretaries, to the maximum extent practicable, shall digitize and make publicly available online, as applicable, geographic information system data that includes, with respect to Federal waterway access and navigation information—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f47-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/b/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1)</num><subparagraph class="inline" id="y01d13f48-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/b/1/A"><num value="A">(A) </num><content>the location of boat ramps, portages, and fishing access sites under the authority of the Federal land or water management agency; and</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f49-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/b/1/B" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>the identification of the dates on which the facilities and sites identified under subparagraph (A) are open or closed, as applicable; and</content></subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d13f4a-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/b/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>bathymetric information and depth charts, as feasible.</content></paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y01d13f4b-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="c">(c) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d13f4c-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Deadline.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d13f4d-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Public information.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d13f4e-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Web posting.</p></sidenote><inline class="smallCaps">Federal Fishing Restrictions</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>Not later than 5 years after the date of enactment of this Act, each of the Secretaries, to the maximum extent practicable, shall digitize and make publicly available online geographic information system data that describes, with respect to Federal fishing restrictions—</chapeau><page identifier="/us/stat/139/1981">139 STAT. 1981</page>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d1665f-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/c/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><chapeau>the location and geographic boundaries of Federal fishing restrictions on recreational and commercial fishing, including—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d16660-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/c/1/A" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>full or partial closures;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d16661-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/c/1/B" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>no-take zones; and</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d16662-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/c/1/C" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">(C) </num><content>Federal fishing restrictions within or surrounding marine protected areas;</content></subparagraph>

<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d16663-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/c/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>Federal fishing restrictions on the use of specific types of equipment or bait; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d16664-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/c/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>Federal requirements with respect to catch and release.</content></paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y01d16665-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/d" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="d">(d) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Public Comment</inline>.—</heading><content>The Secretaries shall develop a process to allow members of the public to submit questions or comments regarding the information described in subsections (a) and (b).</content></subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y01d16666-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/e" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="e">(e) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Updates</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The Secretaries, to the maximum extent practicable, shall update—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d16667-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/e/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d16668-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Time period.</p></sidenote>the data described in subsections (a) and (b) not less frequently than 2 times per year; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d16669-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/e/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>the data described in subsection (c) in real time as changes go into effect.</content></paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y01d1666a-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/f" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="f">(f) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Exclusion</inline>.—</heading><content>This section shall not apply to irrigation canals and flowage easements.</content></subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y01d1666b-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s4/g" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="g">(g) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Disclosure</inline>.—</heading><content>Any geographic information system data made publicly available under this section shall not disclose information regarding the nature, location, character, or ownership of historic, paleontological, or archaeological resources, consistent with applicable law.</content></subsection>

<section id="d547e480" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="5">SEC. 5. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d1666c-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t16/s6874">16 USC 6874</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>COOPERATION AND COORDINATION.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y01d229bd-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Community Partners and Third-party Providers</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>For purposes of carrying out this Act, the Secretaries may—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d229be-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/a/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><chapeau>coordinate and partner with non-Federal agencies and private sector and nonprofit partners, including—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d250cf-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/a/1/A" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>State natural resource agencies;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d250d0-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/a/1/B" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>Tribal natural resource agencies;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d250d1-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/a/1/C" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">(C) </num><content>technology companies;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d250d2-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/a/1/D" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="D">(D) </num><content>geospatial data companies; and</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d250d3-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/a/1/E" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="E">(E) </num><content>experts in data science, analytics, and operations research; and</content></subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d250d4-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/a/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>enter into an agreement with a third party to carry out any provision of this Act.</content></paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y01d250d5-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">United States Geological Survey</inline>.—</heading><content>The Secretaries may work with the Director of the United States Geological Survey to collect, aggregate, digitize, standardize, and publish data on behalf of the Secretaries to meet the requirements of this Act.</content></subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y01d250d6-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="c">(c) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Requirement</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>With respect to data developed and distributed under this Act, the Secretaries shall—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d250d7-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/c/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>develop the data in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Tribal laws (including regulations); and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d250d8-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/c/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d250d9-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Notice.</p></sidenote>include a notice that any geospatial data are subject to applicable Federal, State, and Tribal laws (including regulations).</content></paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y01d250da-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/d" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="d">(d) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Existing Efforts</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>To the extent practicable, the Secretary concerned shall use or incorporate existing applicable data, maps, and resources in carrying out this Act, including data, maps, and resources developed and published under—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d250db-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/d/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>the Modernizing Access to Our Public Land Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t16/s6851/etseq">16 U.S.C. 6851 et seq.</ref>);<page identifier="/us/stat/139/1982">139 STAT. 1982</page></content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d250dc-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/d/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>section 103 of division DD of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023 (<ref href="/us/usc/t43/s776">43 U.S.C. 776</ref>); or</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d250dd-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s5/d/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>other applicable law.</content></paragraph>

<section id="d547e600" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s6" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="6">SEC. 6. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d277ee-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t16/s6875">16 USC 6875</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>REPORTS.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x01d2c60f-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act and annually thereafter through March 30, 2034, the Secretaries shall submit a report that describes the progress made by the Secretaries with respect to meeting the requirements of this Act to—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d2c610-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s6/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d2c611-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s6/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d2c612-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s6/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>the Committee on Agriculture of the House of Representatives;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d2c613-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s6/4" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="4">(4) </num><content>the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d2c614-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s6/5" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="5">(5) </num><content>the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry of the Senate.</content></paragraph>

<section id="d547e638" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s7" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="7">SEC. 7. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x01d2c615-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t16/s6876">16 USC 6876</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>EFFECT.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x01d31336-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  Nothing in this Act—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d31337-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s7/1" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>modifies or alters the definition of the term “<term>navigable waters</term>” under Federal law;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d31338-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s7/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>affects the jurisdiction or authority of State or Federal agencies to regulate navigable waters;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d31339-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s7/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>modifies or alters the authority or jurisdiction of Federal or State agencies to manage fisheries; or</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y01d3133a-ed67-11f0-b6da-5f2d2070469d" identifier="/us/pl/119/62/s7/4" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="4">(4) </num><content>authorizes or is intended to result in a change in the accessibility of waters open to hunting, fishing, or other forms of outdoor recreation as of the date of the enactment of this Act.</content></paragraph>
