<enactingFormula style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><i>  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</i></enactingFormula><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x318a9707-624f-11f0-b164-a105b3fe568e" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Alaska Native Settlement Trust Eligibility Act.</p></sidenote>
<section id="d130e88" identifier="/us/pl/119/22/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x318ba878-624f-11f0-b164-a105b3fe568e" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t43/s1601">43 USC 1601 note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Alaska Native Settlement Trust Eligibility Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d130e103" identifier="/us/pl/119/22/s2" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>ELIGIBILITY FOR CERTAIN PROGRAMS.</heading><content class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x318ce0f9-624f-11f0-b164-a105b3fe568e" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  Section 29(c) of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t43/s1626/c">43 U.S.C. 1626(c)</ref>) <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction>, in the undesignated matter following paragraph (3), by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> subparagraph (E) and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> the following:<quotedContent><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y318d7d3a-624f-11f0-b164-a105b3fe568e" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="E">“(E) </num><content><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x318d7d3b-624f-11f0-b164-a105b3fe568e" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Time period. </p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x318d7d3c-624f-11f0-b164-a105b3fe568e" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Effective date.</p></sidenote>an interest in a Settlement Trust and, for the 5-year period beginning on the date of the enactment of the Alaska Native Settlement Trust Eligibility Act, an amount distributed from or benefit provided by a Settlement Trust to a Native or descendant of a Native who is an aged, blind, or disabled individual (as defined in section 1614(a) of the Social Security Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s1382c/a">42 U.S.C. 1382c(a)</ref>)).”</content></subparagraph></quotedContent>.</content></section>
