<section id="d3306e88" identifier="/us/pl/118/8/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Fiscal Year 2023 Veterans Affairs Major Medical Facility Authorization Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d3306e98" identifier="/us/pl/118/8/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>AUTHORIZATION OF MAJOR MEDICAL FACILITY PROJECTS OF DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y27ca948f-e80a-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/8/s2/a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><chapeau><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x27ca9490-e80a-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">State listing.</p></sidenote>The Secretary of Veterans Affairs may carry out the following major medical facility projects in fiscal year 2023 at the locations specified and in an amount for each project not to exceed the amount specified for such location:</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y27ca9491-e80a-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/8/s2/a/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>Construction of a community-based outpatient clinic and national cemetery in Alameda, California, in an amount not to exceed $395,000,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y27ca9492-e80a-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/8/s2/a/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>Construction of a community living center and renovation of domiciliary and outpatient facilities in Canandaigua, New York, in an amount not to exceed $506,400,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y27ca9493-e80a-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/8/s2/a/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>Construction of a new health care center in El Paso, Texas, in an amount not to exceed $700,000,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y27ca9494-e80a-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/8/s2/a/4" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="4">(4) </num><content>Seismic upgrade and specialty care improvements in Fort Harrison, Montana, in an amount not to exceed $88,600,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y27ca9495-e80a-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/8/s2/a/5" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="5">(5) </num><content>Realignment and closure of the Livermore campus in Livermore, California, in an amount not to exceed $490,000,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y27ca9496-e80a-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/8/s2/a/6" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="6">(6) </num><content>Construction of a new medical facility in Louisville, Kentucky, in an amount not to exceed $1,013,000,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y27ca9497-e80a-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/8/s2/a/7" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="7">(7) </num><content>Seismic retrofit and renovation, roadway and site improvements, construction of a new specialty care facility, demolition, and expansion of parking facilities in Portland, Oregon, in an amount not to exceed $523,000,000.</content></paragraph>

<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y27ca9498-e80a-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/8/s2/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Authorization of Appropriations</inline>.—</heading><content>There is authorized<br/><page identifier="/us/stat/137/54">137 STAT. 54</page>
<continuation class="fontsize10" id="x27cabba9-e80a-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"> to be appropriated to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for fiscal year 2023 or the year in which funds are appropriated for the Construction, Major Projects account, $3,716,000,000 for the projects authorized in subsection (a).</continuation></content></subsection>
