<section id="d10078e88" identifier="/us/pl/118/43/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x6e72b1b4-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t19/s1583a">19 USC 1583a note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>SHORT TITLES.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Eradicating Narcotic Drugs and Formulating Effective New Tools to Address National Yearly Losses of life Act</shortTitle>” or the “<shortTitle role="act">END FENTANYL Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d10078e106" identifier="/us/pl/118/43/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x6e72b1b5-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t19/s1583a">19 USC 1583a note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>ENSURING TIMELY UPDATES TO U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION FIELD MANUALS.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y6e72d8c6-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/43/s2/a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x6e72d8c7-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Deadline.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x6e72d8c8-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Review.</p></sidenote><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><content>Not less frequently than triennially, the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection shall review and update, as necessary, the current policies and manuals of the Office of Field Operations related to inspections at ports of entry to ensure the uniform implementation of inspection practices that will effectively respond to technological and methodological changes designed to disguise illegal activity, such as the smuggling of drugs and humans, along the border.</content></subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y6e72d8c9-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/43/s2/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x6e72d8ca-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Summary.</p></sidenote><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Reporting Requirement</inline>.—</heading><content>Shortly after each update required under subsection (a), the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection shall submit a report to the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate <page identifier="/us/stat/138/454">138 STAT. 454</page>
and the Committee on Homeland Security of the House of Representatives that summarizes the policy and manual changes implemented by such update.</content></subsection>
