<section id="d33376e92" identifier="/us/pl/118/235/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Holcombe Rucker Park National Commemorative Site Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d33376e102" identifier="/us/pl/118/235/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>NATIONAL COMMEMORATIVE SITE.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y4edd4c51-e80d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/235/s2/a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Designation</inline>.—</heading><content>Holcombe Rucker Park, in Harlem, New York, is hereby designated as the “Holcombe Rucker Park National Commemorative Site” (referred to in this section as the “Commemorative Site”).</content></subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y4edd4c52-e80d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/235/s2/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Administration</inline>.—</heading><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y4edd4c53-e80d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/235/s2/b/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x4edd4c54-e80d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Contracts.</p></sidenote><inline class="smallCaps">Cooperative agreements</inline>.—</heading><content>The Secretary of the Interior may enter into cooperative agreements with appropriate public or private entities, including the Mayor of New York City or the Mayor’s designee, for interpretive and educational purposes related to the Commemorative Site, including installing a plaque, interpretive exhibit, or other marker, as appropriate, at the Commemorative Site, with the written consent of the owner of the Commemorative Site, to memorialize the achievements of Holcombe Rucker and to provide recognition of the historic role of Holcombe Rucker Park in the development of the game of basketball and of many of its most talented players.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y4edd4c55-e80d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/235/s2/b/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Effect of designation</inline>.—</heading><content>The Commemorative Site shall not be a unit of the National Park System.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y4edd4c56-e80d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/235/s2/b/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Limitations</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>Nothing in this Act—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y4edd4c57-e80d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/235/s2/b/3/A" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to interfere with the rights of any person with respect to private property or any local zoning ordinance or land use plan of the State of New York or any political subdivision thereof, including prohibiting any actions that may otherwise be taken by a property owner (including any owner of the Commemorative Site) with respect to the property of the owner;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y4edd4c58-e80d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/235/s2/b/3/B" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>affects the administration of the Commemorative Site by New York City or the State of New York; or<page identifier="/us/stat/138/2920">138 STAT. 2920</page></content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y4edd4c59-e80d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/118/235/s2/b/3/C" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">(C) </num><content>authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to acquire land or interests in land through condemnation or otherwise.</content></subparagraph>
