<section id="d22413e88" identifier="/us/pl/118/193/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="xadea877e-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t42/s5101">42 USC 5101 note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Jenna Quinn Law</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d22413e103" identifier="/us/pl/118/193/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AWARENESS FIELD INITIATED GRANTS.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="yadeafcaf-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/193/s2/a" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><content>Section 105(a) of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s5106/a">42 U.S.C. 5106(a)</ref>) <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction> by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> at the end the following:<quotedContent><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yadeb23c0-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="8">“(8) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Child sexual abuse awareness field-initiated grants</inline>.—</heading><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="yadeb23c1-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">“(A) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="xadeb23c2-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Time periods.</p></sidenote><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In general</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The Secretary may award grants under this subsection to entities, for periods of up to 5 years, in support of field-initiated innovation projects that advance, establish, or implement comprehensive, innovative, evidence-based or evidence-informed child sexual abuse awareness and prevention programs by—</chapeau><clause class="fontsize10" id="yadeb23c3-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658126"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="i">“(i) </num><content>improving student awareness of child sexual abuse in an age-appropriate manner, including how to recognize, prevent, and safely report child sexual abuse;</content></clause>
<clause class="fontsize10" id="yadeb23c4-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658126"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="ii">“(ii) </num><content>training teachers, school employees, and other mandatory reporters and adults who work with children in a professional or volunteer capacity, including with respect to recognizing child sexual abuse and safely reporting child sexual abuse; or</content></clause>
<clause class="fontsize10" id="yadeb23c5-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658126"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="iii">“(iii) </num><content>providing information to parents and guardians of students about child sexual abuse awareness and prevention, including how to prevent, recognize, respond to, and report child sexual abuse and how to discuss child sexual abuse with a child.</content></clause>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="yadeb23c6-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">“(B) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Reporting</inline>.—</heading><content>Each entity receiving a grant under subparagraph (A) shall submit an annual report to the Secretary, for the duration of the grant period, on the projects carried out using such grant, including the number of participants, the services provided, and the outcomes of the projects, including participant evaluations.”</content></subparagraph>

<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="yadeb23c7-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/193/s2/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Report on Effectiveness of Expenditures</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>Not later than 5 years after the date on which the first grant is awarded <page identifier="/us/stat/138/2663">138 STAT. 2663</page>
under paragraph (8) of section 105(a) of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s5106/a">42 U.S.C. 5106(a)</ref>), as added by subsection (a), the Comptroller General of the United States shall—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yadeb23c8-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/193/s2/b/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="xadeb23c9-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Evaluation.</p></sidenote>prepare a report that describes the projects for which funds are expended under paragraph (8) of such section 105(a)(8) and evaluates the effectiveness of those projects; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yadeb23ca-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/193/s2/b/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>submit the report to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions and the Committee on Finance of the Senate and the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives.</content></paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="yadeb23cb-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/193/s2/c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="c">(c) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Report on Duplicative Nature of Expenditures</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>Not later than 5 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General of the United States shall—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yadeb23cc-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/193/s2/c/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>prepare a report that examines whether the projects described in subsection (b) are duplicative of other activities supported by Federal funds; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yadeb23cd-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/193/s2/c/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>submit the report to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions and the Committee on Finance of the Senate and the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives.</content></paragraph>
