<section id="d23317e90" identifier="/us/pl/118/184/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Lahaina National Heritage Area Study Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d23317e100" identifier="/us/pl/118/184/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>DEFINITIONS.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="xf8161c23-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  In this Act:</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yf8161c24-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/184/s2/1" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Secretary</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>Secretary</term>” means the Secretary of the Interior.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yf8161c25-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/184/s2/2" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">State</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>State</term>” means the State of Hawaii.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yf8161c26-e80e-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/184/s2/3" role="definitions" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Study area</inline>.—</heading><content>The term “<term>study area</term>” means the census-designated place of Lahaina in Maui County in the State.</content></paragraph>

<section id="d23317e134" identifier="/us/pl/118/184/s3" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading>LAHAINA NATIONAL HERITAGE AREA STUDY.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  The Secretary, in coordination with the County of Maui and in consultation with State and local historic preservation officers, State and local historical societies, State and local tourism offices, and other appropriate organizations and governmental agencies, shall carry out, in accordance with <ref href="/us/usc/t54/s120103/a">section 120103(a) of title 54, United States Code</ref>, a study to assess the suitability and feasibility of designating the study area as a National Heritage Area, to be known as the “Lahaina National Heritage Area”.</content></section>
