H.R. 6257--A bill to amend the Motor Vehicle and Information Cost 
    Savings Act to impede those motor vehicle thefts which occur for 
    purposes of dismantling the vehicles and reselling the major parts 
    by requiring passenger motor vehicles and major replacement parts 
    to have identifying numbers or symbols, and for other purposes; 
    jointly, to the Committees on Energy and Commerce; Foreign 
    Affairs; the Judiciary; Ways and Means.
