FIRST EDITION Supplement No. 1 October 15, 1946 SUPPLEMENT NO. 1 to the DIRECTORY OF DECONTROLLED COMMODITIES October 15, 1946 This supplement to the Directory of Decontrolled Commodities lists commodities and services decontrolled by action taken since October 1, the issuance date of the First Edition. Reference to the First Edition and to this supplement will therefore produce information current through the date of the supplement. For effective use, however, reference to the supplement should be preceded by careful reading of the Introduction and explanatory Notes contained in the First Edition. Part I, Organization Directory of the Price Department, is being omitted, since organizational changes occasioned by decontrols are in process while the supplement is being prepared for printing. However, C. Dean McNeal has succeeded Geoffrey Baker as Deputy Administrator of the Department, and Milton Quint has been appointed Director of the Food Price Division (see Part I, First Edition). Part II, List of Price Regulations, is also being omitted, since few changes have occured since the printing of the First Edition. Part III, Alphabetical Listing, is shown in the same manner as in the First Edition (see Table of Contents).
