Because the master record from which this Directory has been printed consists of individually typed visible cards, some lack of uniformity in appearance is unavoidable, however, we believe that this is Justified by the advantages of greater accuracy, substantial savings in paper and manpower, and the opportunity to provide the Field and National Office information more quickly than would otherwise be possible. The section listing the National Office Personnel is so arranged that it can be used as an organizational directory, a telephone directory, and a mail directory for organization levels, including sections. Index pages of the National Office section are separated into four alphabetical groups; viz., Departments, Divisions, Branches, and Supervisory Personnel. These pages locate the mail-stop numbers of the Departments, Divisions, Branches, and the room, extension and mail-stop numbers of Supervisory Personnel. To expedite the classification and delivery of mail, teletypes and telegrams from the field, it is urgently requested that the mail-stop numbers be shown on all materials intended for delivery within the National Office.
