Garst ________________________________________________________________________ The Joint Military Intelligence College (previously the Defense Intelligence College) was established by a Department of Defense directive in 1962. It is a joint service educational institution serving the entire intelligence community and operates under the authority of the Director, Defense Intelligence Agency. Its mission is to educate military and civilian intelligence professionals and conduct and disseminate relevant intelligence research. The College is authorized by Congress to award the Master of Science of Strategic Intelligence (MSSI) degree and also offers two diploma programs: Post Graduate Intelligence Program (PGIP) and Undergraduate Intelligence Program (UGIP). Qualified students may enroll for full- or part-time study at the main campus located at the Defense Intelligence Analysis Center, Bolling Air Force Base. Part-time study is also available at the National Security Agency, National Air Intelligence Center, and Department of State. Two weekend programs are available as well; one is specifically for military reservists and is taught by reserve faculty. The College is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
