Proposed and Enacted Rescissions: Updated Rescission Statistics to the
Congress (Letter Report, 11/18/93, GAO/OGC-94-16).

To keep Congress current on the amount and frequency of proposed and
enacted rescissions, GAO has updated its compilation of historical
information and statistics on rescissions proposed by the executive
branch and rescissions enacted by Congress.  The letter contains tables
summarizing (1) proposed and enacted rescissions for fiscal years
1974-93 and (2) rescissions by Presidents Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter,
and Ford under the Impoundment Control Act.
