Financial Audit: Environmental and Energy Study Conference Financial
Statements for 1992 and 1991 (Letter Report, 01/14/94, GAO/AIMD-94-45).

GAO audited the balance sheets of the Environmental and Energy Study
Conference for 1992 and 1991 and the related statements of revenues and
expenses and cash flows for those years.  The Conference is a
legislative service organization that provides its sponsoring Senators
and Representatives with information on environmental, energy, and
natural resources issues affecting federal legislation.  GAO found that
(1) the financial statements were reliable in all material respects; (2)
internal controls reasonably ensured that losses, noncompliance with
laws and regulations, and misstatements material to the financial
statements would be prevented or detected; and (3) there was no material
noncompliance with laws and regulations.
