Financial Audit: Environmental and Energy Study Conference Financial
Statements for 1991 and 1990 (Letter Report, 11/19/93, GAO/AIMD-94-19).

GAO audited the Environmental Study Conference's financial statements
for 1991 and 1990.  Sponsored by Senators and Representatives who pool
their resources to pursue common legislative goals, the conference
provides its members with information on environmental, energy, and
natural resources issues affecting federal legislation.  GAO found that
the financial statements were reliable in all material respects; that
internal controls reasonably ensured that losses, noncompliance with
laws and regulations, and misstatements material to the financial
statements would be prevented or detected; and that there was no
material noncompliance with laws and regulations.
