                Notice of July 28, 2026

Continuation of the National Emergency With
                Respect to Brazil

On July 30, 2025, by Executive Order 14323, I declared
a national emergency with respect to Brazil pursuant to
the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50
U.S.C. 1701 et seq.) to deal with the unusual and
extraordinary threat, which has its source in whole or
substantial part outside the United States, to the
national security, foreign policy, and economy of the
United States constituted by the policies, practices,
and actions of the Government of Brazil that interfere
with the economy of the United States, infringe on the
free expression rights of United States persons,
violate human rights, and undermine the interest the
United States has in protecting its citizens and
companies. Members of the Government of Brazil are also
politically persecuting a former President of Brazil,
his family, and his followers, which is contributing to
the deliberate breakdown in the rule of law in Brazil,
to politically motivated intimidation in that country,
                and to human rights abuses.

Certain activities, such as the Brazil Supreme Court's
censorship and imprisonment of those exercising free
expression and censorship of online content, continue
to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat, which has
its source in whole or substantial part outside the
United States, to the national security, foreign
policy, and economy of the United States. For this
reason, the national emergency declared in Executive
Order 14323 of July 30, 2025, must continue in effect
beyond July 30, 2026. Therefore, in accordance with
section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50
                U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am continuing for 1 year the
national emergency with respect to Brazil declared in
                Executive Order 14323.

                and transmitted to the Congress.

                    (Presidential Sig.)

                THE WHITE HOUSE,

                    July 28, 2026.
