Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council (MAFMC); Public Meeting

AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.

ACTION: Notice; public meeting.

SUMMARY: The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council's Summer Flounder, 
Scup, and Black Sea Bass Advisory Panel will hold a public meeting, 
jointly with the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's Summer 
Flounder, Scup and Black Sea Bass Advisory Panel.

DATES: The meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 2 
p.m. to 5 p.m. EDT. For agenda details, see SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The purpose of this meeting is to discuss 
recent performance of the summer flounder, scup, and black sea bass 
commercial and recreational fisheries and develop Fishery Performance 
Reports. These reports will be considered by the Scientific and 
Statistical Committee, the Monitoring Committee, Mid-Atlantic Fishery 
Management Council, and Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission 
when setting 2024-2025 catch and landings limits for summer flounder 
and scup, setting 2024 catch and landings limits for black sea bass, 
and reviewing other management measures for all three species.
