ACTION: Notice of a public meeting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), notice is hereby given to announce a public meeting of the ACA. All meetings of the ACA are open to the public. DATES: The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA) Chicagoland Laborers' District Council Training and Apprentice Fund (CLTAF) located at 5700 West Homer Street, Chicago, Illinois 60639. The meeting will begin at approximately 9 a.m. Central Daylight Time (CDT) and adjourn at approximately 5 p.m. CDT. Any updates to the agenda and meeting logistics will be posted on the Office of Apprenticeship's website at: https://www.apprenticeship.gov/advisory-committee-apprenticeship/meetings. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The ACA is a discretionary committee reestablished by the Secretary of Labor on May 4, 2021, in accordance with FACA (5 U.S.C. App. 2 Sec. 10), as amended in 5 U.S.C. App. 2, and its implementing regulations (41 CFR 101-6 and 102-3). The first meeting of the ACA was held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021; the second meeting of the ACA was held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022; the third meeting of the ACA was held on Monday, May 16, 2022; the fourth meeting of the ACA was held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022; the fifth meeting of the ACA was held on Thursday, January 12, 2023; and the sixth meeting of the ACA was held on Thursday, March 30, 2023. To promote greater access, webinar and audio conference technology will be used to support public participation in the meeting. In-person space for the meeting is limited. Purpose of the Meeting and Topics To Be Discussed: The primary purpose of the May 2023 ACA meeting is to focus on pre-apprenticeship in promoting equity in apprenticeship and highlight current innovations within traditional apprenticeship programs. The ACA will also discuss and finalize the Issue papers, a deliverable discussed at the March meeting.
