AGENCY: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of
Transportation (DOT).

SUMMARY: This notice contains a summary of a petition seeking relief
from specified requirements of Federal Aviation Regulations. The
purpose of this notice is to improve the public's awareness of, and
participation in, the FAA's exemption process. Neither publication of
this notice nor the inclusion or omission of information in the summary
is intended to affect the legal status of the petition or its final
disposition.

Petition for Exemption

Description of Relief Sought: Petitioner seeks relief from 14 CFR
part 121.311(b) to the extent necessary to allow her son to use a child
restraint system (CRS), E-Z-ON Push Button Adjustable Vest, model 203PB
or 403PB, during all phases of flight while on board U.S.-certificated
aircraft in commercial air carrier operations under part 121. This
request, if granted, would be precedent setting because relief has

not previously been given for this specific model number. Therefore,
the FAA seeks public comment on whether the FAA should grant the
petitioner's request for an exemption from 14 CFR 121.311(b) to allow
her son to use a CRS, E-Z-ON Push Button Adjustable Vest, model 203PB
or 403PB, during all phases of flight while on board U.S.-registered
aircraft in commercial air carrier operations under part 121.
