Pacific Fishery Management Council; Public Meeting
AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.
ACTION: Notice of public meeting (webinar).

SUMMARY: The Pacific Fishery Management Council's (Pacific Council) Ad
Hoc Climate Scenarios Investigation Committee (CSI) will hold a
webinar, which is open to the public.
DATES: The webinar meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018,
from 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Pacific Council formed the CSI in
September 2018 to guide the development of future climate scenarios
that will be developed under the Fishery Ecosystem Plan Climate and
Communities Initiative. The CSI will report to the Pacific Council at
its November 1-8, 2018 meeting on its work (see Agenda Item F.6.a,
Supplemental Tri-State Report, September 2018). The purpose of this
webinar is to present a draft report of their findings, explain the
CSI's proposed activities, and gain feedback from the Pacific Council's
Ad Hoc Ecosystem Workgroup, other Pacific Council committees, and the
public.
Although non-emergency issues not contained in the meeting agenda
may be discussed, those issues may not be the subject of formal action
during this meeting. Action will be restricted to those issues
specifically listed in this document and any issues arising after
publication of this document that require emergency action under
section 305(c) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and
Management Act, provided the public has been notified of the intent to
take final action to address the emergency.
