The purpose of the document published on December 6, 2016 (81 FR

to existing medical use of byproduct material licensees and to an
applicant that are preparing a medical use of byproduct material
license application. The NUREG also provides the NRC criteria for
evaluating a license application.
The public comment period was originally scheduled to close on
February 6, 2017. The NRC has decided to extend the public comment
period on this document until March 31, 2017, to allow more time for
members of the public to submit their comments.
Dated at Rockville, Maryland, this 18th day of January 2017.
