Proposed Revision to Emergency Action Level Development Guidance

AGENCY: Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
ACTION: Notice of availability and opportunity for public comment.

SUMMARY: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the Commission)
is making available for comment a

proposed revision to the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) 99-01, proposed
Revision 6, ``Development of Emergency Action Levels for Non-Passive
Reactors,'' dated September 2012. This document is intended to be used
by the industry in the development of an emergency action level (EAL)
scheme. The NRC is publishing this proposed revision to inform the
public and solicit comments.
DATES: Submit comments by November 15, 2012. Comments submitted after
this date will be considered if it is practical to do so, but assurance
of consideration cannot be given except for comments received on or
before this date.
