L. 94-409, that the Securities and Exchange Commission will hold the following meetings during the week of July 26, 1999. An open meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 1999, at 10 a.m. A closed meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at 11 a.m. Commissioners, Counsel to the Commissioners, the Secretary to the Commission, and recording secretaries will attend the closed meetings. Certain staff members who have an interest in the matters will be present. These rules are designed to protect the securities markets from non-bank transfer agents and broker-dealers that are not Year 2000 compliant.
