The Federal Communications Commission will hold an Open Meeting on

2.................................... COMMON CARRIER......... TITLE: Comprehensive Review of the Accounting
Requirements and ARMIS Reporting Requirements
for Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers: Phase I.
XL..................... SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a Notice
of Proposed Rulemaking that commences Phase I
of a comprehensive review of its accounting and
reporting requirements.
3.................................... WIRELESS TITLE: Amendment of the Commission's Rules
TELECOMMUNICATIONS. regarding the 37.0-38.6 GHz and 38.6-40.0 GHz
Bands (ET Docket No. 95-183, RM-8553); and
Implementations of Section 309(j) of the
Communications Act--Competitive Bidding, 37.0-
38.6 GHz 38.6-40.0 GHz Bands (PP Docket No. 93-
253).
SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a
Memorandum Opinion and Order addressing
petitions for reconsideration regarding
licensing and service rules in the 39 GHz
service.
4.................................... OFFICE OF ENGINEERING TITLE: Amendment of Parts 2 and 95 of the
AND TECHNOLOGY. Commission's Rules to Create a Wireless Medical
Telemetry Service.
SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a Notice
of Proposed Rulemaking to allocate spectrum on
a primary basis for medical telemetry
equipment, and to establish rules for a new
wireless medical telemetry service.
5.................................... OFFICE OF ENGINEERING TITLE: Closed Captioning Requirements for
AND TECHNOLOGY. Digital Television Receivers.
SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a Notice
of Proposed Rulemaking proposing standards for
the reception and display of closed captioning
information on digital television (DTV)
receivers.
6.................................... OFFICE OF ENGINEERING TITLE: Implementation of Sections 225 and
AND TECHNOLOGY AND 251(a)(2) of the Communications Act of 1934, as
COMMON CARRIER. enacted by the Telecommunications Act of 1996;
and Access to Telecommunications Service,
Telecommunications Equipment, and Customer
Premises Equipment by Persons with Disabilities
(WT Docket No. 96-198).
SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a Report
and Order concerning access to
telecommunications services, telecommunications
equipment, and customer premises equipment by
persons with disabilities.
